What we collect, and what we never touch
Mnema records your screen and audio, so the honest answer matters more here than a page of legal boilerplate. Everything Mnema captures stays on your Mac. The only data that reaches us comes from this website, buying a license, and emailing support.
// never leaves your Mac
What Mnema never sends anywhere
- Your screen recordings, screenshots, audio, or transcripts — these are written to an encrypted database on your Mac and are never uploaded anywhere.
- Anything about which apps you use, what you type, or what you search for inside Mnema.
- Usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports from inside the app.
If you turn on a cloud AI provider or cloud transcription in Settings, the app sends data to your own account with that provider, using your own API key or subscription sign-in. That is your arrangement with them — it never passes through us.

Removing your data
Recordings are yours to delete from inside the app at any time — we can't delete them for you, because we never had them. For anything we do hold (your purchase record, your support emails, your license activations), write to support@mnema.day and we'll remove it.
Questions about any of this go to the same address. If this page ever disagrees with what the app actually does, treat it as a bug and tell us.
